1. Application of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains the data protection and use of personal data that an End User (“You” or “User”) provide when you access or use the App. This Privacy Policy applies to websites, apps, including events and other services offered by Talent in Motion Sdn Bhd (or the “Company”). The terms (“us” or “we” or “our”) refer to Talent in Motion Sdn Bhd (or the “Company”). Kabel App (“Kabel” or “App”) or other related services, which includes kabel.my (the “Website”) is part of the Company. Our Privacy Policy covers only personal data collected that you provide to us and does not extend to any other information collected or processed by third party websites or applications that the App may link, attach or connect to or pull from.
We reserve the full rights to make any changes to this Privacy Policy, which will be notified to you via a suitable announcement on the App. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms of Use of the Privacy Policy, you should not continue to use the App. If you continue to access or use the App after the date on which the new terms of the Privacy Policy comes into effect, you shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the same.
2. Information Collected
After you register on the App, we will collect personal data including, but not limited to, user login, credentials, first and last name, employment history, education history, salary data, years of experience, skills, and any other data which may be required to be provided to us.
We allow you to authenticate and/or register on the App using third party service providers like social networks of which you may already have given data about yourself. For example, you may be able to use your social media login (such as Facebook Login) to create and log into your App account. This saves you from having to remember yet another user name and password and allows you to share some information from your social media account with us. In our efforts to perform useful analytics, we may collect personal data for data processing that you choose to allow it to access using the aforementioned social networks, and we shall then process, filter and sort those data for purposes of optimizing your experience of the App. You are hereby cautioned that your candidate profiles uploaded onto the App may contain personal data which may make you identifiable and able to be searched by the employers using the App during the job application process, even without disclosing data which are not disclosed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or liability arising from or in connection with any access and/or use of such data by the employers and any other third parties.
When you use the App or any of our services, we collect information about which features you’ve used, how you’ve used them and the devices you use to access the App. See below for more details:
Usage Information We collect information about your activity on our services, for instance how you use them (e.g., date and time you logged in, features you’ve been using, searches, clicks and pages which have been shown to you, referring webpage address, advertising that you click on) and how you interact with others (e.g. others you connect and interact with, time and date of your exchanges, number of messages you send and receive).
Device information We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access the App, including:
hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, device-specific and apps settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs (such as Google’s AAID and Apple’s IDFA, both of which are randomly generated numbers that you can reset by going into your device’ settings), browser type, version and language, operating system, time zones, identifiers associated with cookies or similar technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser (e.g., IMEI/UDID and MAC address);
information on device sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and compasses
information on your wireless and mobile network connection, like your service provider and signal strength;
Other information with your consent: If you give us permission, we can collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude) through various means, depending on the service and device you’re using, including GPS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connections. The collection of your geolocation may occur in the background even when you aren’t using the App if the permission you gave us expressly permits such collection. If you decline permission for us to collect your geolocation, we will not collect it. Similarly, if you consent, we may collect your photos and videos (for instance, if you want to publish a photo, video or streaming on the services).
We may personalize the advertising that you are shown on the App with which we have a business relationship. In order to provide this personalization, in addition to information we collect about you on the App, we acquire information (including personal, demographic, behavioural and indirect information) about you from third party service providers who provide it to us. We may receive info about you from our business partners, for instance where our ads are published on a partner’s websites and platforms (in which case they may pass along details on a campaign’s success).
3. Use of Information
On the App, we use the personal data collected for data processing to provide job application recommendations and to communicate with you using your contact details, while utilizing such data for improvement of our product offerings and for such other purposes incidental to its objectives. At our full and absolute discretion, we may use any data about you to provide you our services, respond to you and make improvements to the App, and our other products and services. The reasons for communication using your contact details include but are not limited to the following:
Notifications of changes to the Website and/or Web App
Enforcement of the Terms of Use
Feedback regarding the Beta App
Issues regarding your account or profile
New feature announcements
Relevant offers and ads
Improvement of services and development of new ones
Prevention and detection of fraud or other illegal or unauthorized activities

Provide our service to you Most of the time, the reason we process your information is to perform the contract that you have with us. For instance, as you go about using the App to build meaningful connections, we use your information to maintain your account and your profile, to make it viewable to others and recommend others to you.
Legitimate interests We may use your personal data where we have legitimate interests to do so, in line with our data protection obligations. For instance, we analyse your behaviour on the App to continuously improve our offerings, we suggest offers we think might interest you, and we process information for administrative, fraud detection and other legal purposes.
Consent from time to time, we may ask for your consent to use your information for certain specific reasons. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the address provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.
4. Sharing of Information
Since our goal is to help you make meaningful connections, the main sharing of your information is, of course, with others on the App. Read on for more details about how your information is shared with others:
With others on the App You share information with others on the App when you voluntarily disclose information on the service (including your public profile). Please be careful with your information and make sure that the content you share is stuff that you’re comfortable being publicly viewable since neither you nor we can control what others do with your information once you share it. If you choose to limit the audience for all or part of your profile or for certain content or information about you, then it will be visible according to your settings.
With our service providers and partners We use third party service providers to help us operate and improve our services. These third party service providers assist us with various tasks, including data hosting and maintenance, analytics, customer care, marketing, advertising, payment processing and security operations. We may also share information with business partners who distribute and assist us in advertising our services. For instance, we may share limited information on you in hashed, non-human readable form to advertising partners. We follow a strict vetting process prior to engaging any service provider or working with any partner. All of our service providers and partners must agree to strict confidentiality obligations.
With our other businesses We share your personal data held with our other businesses acting as data processors for them to assist us in processing your information, as service providers, upon our instructions and on our behalf. Assistance provided by us and our other businesses may include technical processing operations, such as data hosting and maintenance, customer care, marketing and targeted advertising, finance and accounting assistance, better understanding of how the App is used and your behaviour to improve the App, securing our data and systems and fighting against spam, abuse, fraud, infringement and other wrongdoings. We may also share information with our other businesses for legitimate business purposes such as corporate audit, analysis and consolidated reporting as well as compliance with applicable laws. We may also share your information with our other businesses to remove those who violate our Terms of Use, or have been reported for criminal activity and/or bad behaviour.
When required by law We disclose information if legally required to do so, if requested to do so by a governmental entity or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) protect our rights or property or our affiliated companies; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (d) protect the personal safety of you or the public.
With your consent or at your request We may ask for your consent to share your information with other third parties. In any such case, we will make it clear why we want to share the information. We may use and share non-personal information (meaning information that, by itself, does not identify who you are such as device information, general demographics, general behavioural data, geolocation in de-identified form), as well as personal data in hashed, non-human readable form, under any of the above circumstances. We may also share this information with our other businesses and other third parties (notably advertisers) to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our services and on third party websites or applications of other third parties, and to analyse and report on advertising you see. We may combine this information with additional non-personal information or personal data in hashed, non-human readable form collected from other sources.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Opting Out of Communications You may opt out of receiving promotional messages and future communications from us. You may change your preferences at any time by making the appropriate changes in the settings section of your account in the App.
Account Deletion We and our management reserves the right to delete any accounts on the App at its own and absolute discretion without any notification to you. You may request to delete or suspend your account by contacting us via email.
Cookies We may use cookies and similar technologies to give you content that is tailored to your specific situation. Cookies enable us to learn which areas of the App and the Website are the most useful and which ones could use some tinkering. Most web browsers automatically collect cookies, but this setting can be modified to decline to accept cookies. It should be noted though that disabling the cookie functionality may diminish or impair the experience that you receive from using us.
Privacy Policy Changes Because we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to help you build meaningful connections, this policy may change over time. We will notify you before any material changes take effect so that you have time to review the changes.
