Future Ready Hackathon 2025 is where Malaysia’s brightest young talents solve real-world challenges at the intersection of tech and business.

In partnership with PIKOM (National Tech Association of Malaysia), students and fresh grads team up, innovate, and pitch impactful solutions — guided by top mentors.

Finalists will pitch LIVE at Youth Employment Initiative 2.0 this September, gaining the spotlight in front of key industry leaders. Your project might just be your career breakthrough!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to join the hackathon?

No, the hackathon is free to join. However, if your team is selected as one of the finalists to pitch at YEI 2025, a fee of RM20 per person will apply for attending the physical event.

No worries! You can register as an individual. Kabel will help form teams by grouping individuals from different courses and universities together.

Malaysian students and fresh graduates with backgrounds in technology or business are encouraged to join. But students from other fields (e.g. design, communication, engineering, social sciences) are welcome too — as long as you’re interested in solving tech-business challenges.

Not necessarily. You can come from fields like business, marketing, design, communications, finance, data science, or engineering. Diverse teams often come up with the best ideas!

Absolutely! We recommend having at least one member in your team who can code, but it’s not mandatory. You can still contribute in areas like design, strategy, or presentation. Plus, AI tools are encouraged — you can use them to help build your solution, even if no one in your team has strong coding skills.

The judges’ lineup will be from PIKOM members — professionals and leaders from Malaysia’s top tech companies.

You’ll be solving a real-world case focused on helping high-growth companies improve efficiency through automation and digitization.

Yes. Mentors will include the same industry leaders who will serve as judges — offering valuable guidance throughout your project journey.

We highly encourage you to join the physical pitching at YEI 2025. This is a golden opportunity to pitch in front of CEOs, recruiters, and decision-makers from top tech companies.

Absolutely! You can still attend YEI 2025 to network, look for internship/job opportunities, or simply support the hackathon finalists.
