What if I can't find a group to join the hackathon?
No worries! You can register as an individual. Kabel will help form teams by grouping individuals from different courses and universities together.
Who is eligible to join the hackathon?
Malaysian students and fresh graduates with backgrounds in technology or business are encouraged to join. But students from other fields (e.g. design, communication, engineering, social sciences) are welcome too — as long as you’re interested in solving tech-business challenges.
Do I need to be from a tech background to join the hackathon?
Not necessarily. You can come from fields like business, marketing, design, communications, finance, data science, or engineering. Diverse teams often come up with the best ideas!
I can’t code — can I still join?
Absolutely! We recommend having at least one member in your team who can code, but it’s not mandatory. You can still contribute in areas like design, strategy, or presentation. Plus, AI tools are encouraged — you can use them to help build your solution, even if no one in your team has strong coding skills.
